COVIDSafe App

Tourism Accommodation Australia continues to work with the federal government to find the safest and quickest road out of COVID-19. The effects of COVID-19 on the tourism accommodation industry has been devastating with many properties temporarily closing due to the imposition of travel restrictions and state based isolation measures. As an industry, we are encouraged to exercise all precaution to ensure we reach recovery in the safest and most efficient way possible, with this, TAA provides its support to industry to download the COVIDSafe app, released by the Government. As suggested by the Government this tool will be used to escalate and secure the safety of communities as we work our way back to the new normal of life which will include the lifting of travel restrictions.

TAA is committed to assisting members navigate their way through this crisis and return to normal operations in the most efficient way possible, we submit the COVIDSafe App is the first step in this process and recommend all members and their employees get on board.

The COVIDSafe app is designed to refine and expedite the process of locating and communicating with people who may have been in close contact with an individual with COVID-19. These efforts are aimed at reducing the spread of the virus relying on the accurate and secure information that is developed through this application.

While COVIDSafe app use is voluntary, Tourism Accommodation Australia encourages industry colleagues to download COVIDSafe app. This will not only support the effort of returning to business as usual but will also help ensure all Australians are protected and any new cases of COVID-19 are responded to effectively.
